Become a Volunteer

VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT AND CODE OF CONDUCT
Please read the following carefully before proceeding to the application form.

This Volunteer Agreement is a description of the arrangement between Our Town Frederiksted, Inc. (OTF) and you (the volunteer) in relation to your voluntary work. The intention of this agreement is to assure you that we appreciate your efforts in volunteering with us and to indicate our commitment to do the best we can to make your experience with us a positive and rewarding one. The volunteer understands that the relationship with Our Town Frederiksted is limited to a volunteer position and that no compensation is expected in return for services provided by the volunteer.

1. SUPERVISION, SUPPORT AND FLEXIBILITY
Our Town Frederiksted encourages volunteers to take on a variety of roles as required and to adhere to the code of conduct stipulated by EO Horizons.

2. EXPENSES
There will be no reimbursements for the expenses incurred unless prior approval is obtained from the management of Our Town Frederiksted, Inc or if the expenses are officially requested by the management.

3. WAIVER AND RELEASE
The volunteer release forever discharges and holds Our Town Frederiksted, Inc. harmless from any or all liabilities, claims and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or equity, which arise or hereafter arises from the services that the volunteer provided to Our Town Frederiksted, Inc. The volunteer understands that this release discharges Our Town Frederiksted, Inc from any liability or claim from the volunteer in the event of any bodily injury, illness, death or property damages that may arise whilst performing volunteer duties.

4. INSURANCE
The volunteer understands and accepts that Our Town Frederiksted, Inc., will not be purchasing any insurance coverage for the volunteer and the volunteer hereby expressly waives such claim for compensation or liability from Our Town Frederiksted, Inc., in the event of any medical or property damage expenses occurred.

5. PHOTOGRAPHIC/MEDIA RELEASE
The volunteer grants and conveys to Our Town Frederiksted, Inc. all rights, titles and interests in any and all photographs, videos or audio recordings of the volunteer or any likeness made by Our Town Frederiksted, Inc. while providing the volunteer services.

6. TERMINATION
The volunteer service may be terminated by Our Town Frederiksted, Inc. or the volunteer in a written notice of no less than two weeks.

7. CONFIDENTIALITY
All volunteers are required to abide by the confidentiality clause of the Our Town Frederiksted, Inc. and undertake not to divulge any information meant for internal circulation to any person or sources outside Our Town Frederiksted, Inc.

8. CONDUCT EXPECTATIONS

- Contribute to a cooperative and positive working environment.
- Be committed in your volunteering duties and responsibilities.
